This is wonderful! People usually watch the plaza in La Orotava because they enjoy seeing the wonderful sand carpets being made for Corpus Christi, but again this year we can also watch them creating the Belén, the huge traditional nativity scene for Christmas.  Most towns have at least one Belén, but La Orotava’s is famous: THIS is a super article from Jack Montgomery about it and the nativity scenes generally. And in La Orotava, they’ve already started, with materials for construction already moving onto the plaza. HERE is the live webcam … I’ll be looking in every day, myself!
